Our Little Thoughts- Group 4 ( P5 Adventure Camp )

Lim Jun Long (5 Fascinating)

Today, I went to the Botanical Garden for my first activity – River Crossing. I felt very excited to be there but was a little scared too. When I was in the middle of the river, standing on the log, I almost fell! Luckily, Mrs Tan pulled the rope on the other side quickly and tightened it for me so that I don’t lose my balance.

When I reached the other end of the log, I had difficulties walking on it as it was very slippery. It was a good experience for me and I will remember this forever.

Lim Yi Shen (5 Glorious)

Yeah! Today we managed to finish the jungle trekking and river crossing! I was a little sad as I was not able to try “river crossing”. Our instructors had called off the activity as it started to rain.

When we reached the resort, my legs were swollen and stiff. We played “open numbers” to decide who gets to bath first. I was the one! Rejoice!

The next day, we went for Eco-Hunt and Tree Planting. We were all dirty and tired at the end of the day. Unfortunately, I was third to bath this time round. Later that night, we had a campfire. The first part, with green sparks flying out from the fire, was my favourite. I enjoyed myself throughout the 3D2N.

Group 11

During the camp, we did a lot of cool stunts and stuff, like saving the environment and why we should use the fan instead of the aircon. We had fun at the forest. I felt that we had replaced the monkeys in the jungle! I get to step on mud and OH BOY!!!! The feeling was awesome. The last activity was known as the " KUNG FU PANDA " and it was lots of fun!!!!!
Thats all I have to say!

Bye!

Little Thoughts
Group 11

I think that the zoo owner should keep the monkeys in the jungle or a cage because tourists might misfeed them. Monkeys trail people who gives them the food.

I made new friends in my group. The activities were so fun. When I first entered the bus to go to camp, I felt lonely but at the end of the camp, I was so sad that it ended fast.

DURING THE CAMP, WE BRAVED THE DANGEROUS FOREST AND LEARNT TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT ESPECIALLY THE TREES. IN THE FUTURE, WE SHOULD USE THE FAN INSTEAD OF THE AIR-CONDITIONER TO SAVE ENERGY.

I ALSO LEARNT ABOUT THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLOWERS, HERBAL PLANTS AND ABOUT REFORESTING! I ALSO LEARNT HOW TO GAUGE A TREE’S AGE BY MEASURING THE TREE’S CIRCUMFERENCE.

I LEARNT THAT TO ACHIEVE A TASK, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK AS A TEAM. WE SHOULD NOT QUARREL DURING DISCUSSION. I ALSO MADE SOME NEW FRIENDS.

On the first day, we went to the Botanical Gardens. We visited the four museums. Our test is to complete all the questions that were given to us. On the second day, we went jungle trekking. We had to walk through a small stream and climb up a slippery slope. It was so scary. After trekking, my shoes were covered with mud. We also play Kung Fu Panda.

Chua Zheng Qian ( 5G)
The first day was very interesting. At the immigration hall in Malaysia, we had to be very patient because some of our friends took a longer time to clear and there was an extremely long queue. After lunch, we went to the Botanical Gardens for Eco Hunt. We went to four different museums to learn many things. After dinner, we went for night activities. We had to blind-fold ourselves. Without seeing, we had to complete all the tasks. Ya ya!

Nadya (5F)
On the first day, I learnt a lot of things about mother-nature. Running from museum to museum was a challenge. The second day was very tiring. The jungle trekking was very challenging as we had to go through a lot of obstacles.

Seri Nurannisah (5A)
On the first day, we went to the Botanical Gardens and museums. On the second day, we played Kung Fu Panda, plant trees and leant from the tree doctor. We also had a campfire. We all performed in front of the teachers, trainers and friends.

Lim Wen Le (5F)
I think all the activities were fun but we got very dirty. I want to go again next time. I like the jungle trekking but it was very muddy and slippery because of the rain. I also planted a tree with my name on it. I love all the activities.

Khajol (5C)
On day one, we went to the four museums. I had to answer all the questions. It was a tiring eco hunt as I could not find some of the answers. On day two, we went to the game stations. I played Kung Fu panda. It was very fun and I wish I could go there again. I also did jungle trekking. It was horrible. I had to walk through the forest and hold on to the ropes to climb up or down and I had to step on mud. That’s why I do not like jungle trekking. We went to plant tree which was very fun. I could not believe in my life that I would ever plant a tree in Malacca. I also learnt about trees from tree doctors.

Joyce Hong ( 5D)
We went eco hunting. It was not fun but at least I tried. I do not like jungle trekking. I fell down and cut myself. I cried on my way down the slope. We crossed many streams and puddles of mud.

Chua Yi Lin (5G)
We had blind-man game and eco hunt on the first day. They were very challenging. I like the Eco hunt better because I learnt about mother-nature, global warming and more. On the second day, we did jungle trekking, tree planting, tree doctor and kung-fu panda. Jungle trekking was the most difficult because the ground was wet and slippery. I learnt that we have to trust each other and “Do not give up!”.

Little Thoughts (Group 7)

I think the camp is very interesting. Where else can we have the opportunity to be ‘cowboys’ and ‘cowgirls’ and have the freedom to scream and shout? I loved the songs we learnt there – especially the Bumble Bee song. The campfire was great too. If only I could go for another camp again soon…
(Sim Xing Xiu – 5 Energetic)

I think the adventure camp was very fun as we got to do lots of activities. I also got to spend time with my friends and we had a wonderful time at the campfire. I wish another camp will be organized soon.
(Mursyidah – 5 Glorious)

I think the camp was very fun. It was also tiring as we had to do a lot of activities in a day. However, it has certainly benefited me. I have learnt to be independent and to stay away from the comforts of home for a while.
(Devamitra – 5 Glorious)

I had loads of fun but learnt many things. The night activity where we were blindfolded really opened my eyes. I now understand better how it is to be a blind and mute man. Through this activity, we learnt how to trust our friends and let them show us the way. We also learnt to depend on our other senses. The camp was really fun but we ended up being totally dirty!

Little Thoughts (Group 2)

The camp is really fun! Friendly trainers who are like real buddies. I will miss this fun camp. Thank you teachers, for organising this camp for us… I really learnt a lot from this camp… I learnt to work as a team, care for each other, I learnt new things about trees and forest, and most of all, I had a lot of fun with my friends!
(Phylicia Ku Jing Rou)

I had a great time in this camp! The first activity was the jungle trecking. It was very scary when we had to cross the river. There were so many leeches…yucks! I think the team building was a great activity, we really need good teamwork to accomplish our task. Tree planting was fun! We actually helped to make the forest much cooler! I learnt to work together and cooperate with my team members.
(Nurizaaz Kamsani)

I think the camp was fun and exciting, and I learnt a great lot! I learnt to cooperate and work together with my group members. I leant that forests are very important to Earth. I learnt to reuse my clothes that have already been used. I learnt cooperation and teamwork.
(Aiqil Amani)

Thank you, teachers, for bringing us to this camp! I really enjoyed all the fun activities like walking through the stream, singing and cheering at the campfire, team building, tree planting and eco hunt… Wading across the muddy water of the stream is a great challenge! There were so many leeches. Many of us slipped and fell into the water, but we still stood up almost immediately. Two days at the camp, I learnt a lot of fun dancing steps, merry singing and exciting cheers!
